    Default Incidents During Foglight Installation

    Hi Guys,

I would like to bring up the matter of customers asking my installer to do other stuff during the installation of the foglights.

My installer feedback to me that occassionally some guys (minority) will ask him to do other work unrelated to the installation.

He is fine with it but I felt that it is injustice done coz some work are time very consuming.

    One example:-
    Rewiring of certain gadgets.
Given his nature, he will try his best to rectify what he sees as poor workmanship and that will take a long time tracing the wires and connecting new wires.

Therefore, I have instructed him to stop this goodwill practice unless the car owner pays for it or he feels he can do it out of goodwill.

Now.. I am not making things difficult but we all have to understand that he opens his door to do business and has overheads to cover.

The price of $175 per set of foggies with installation is not sufficient to cover anything outside that.

If he agree to do something FOC, I won't bother.

I just don want someone to act almighty and try to make him do this do that.

I don think that is fair.

If its a lousy job done by someone else, go back to him to rectify if can get it FOC, otherwise, expect to pay for that bit of work.

So far, I appreciate and acknowledge his effort to keep all my customers happy and I will continue to refer my customers to him.

Some of you who have dealt with him should know what kind of service standards he produce.

I know of certain shops when installing stuff that needs wiring from the front to the back, poke a hole in the rubber tube used to connect wires and then later tape the tube up. Why they do it this way? Simple.. they sell cheap so they wanna finish the job fast. In time to come, the tapes will become detached, sticky and messy.

Btw, that tube I am referring to is the one at the middle door pillar that you see when your front door is open and rear door is closed.

He will only do it the proper way. That is everything goes through the tube and it remains intact.

Maybe some of you can check your car and see if it is true.
